Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on August 5 for the third season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. It was only when she began writing that her true passion was revealed. Also, she won the Emmy award for her outstanding host of a talk program. Between 2002 and 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the news anchor on The Early Show. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. There, she tracked down and talked to the father who led hijackers for an eye-opening and interesting interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with notable newsmakers like the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania, the former defense secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves covered the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sunday Morning News broadcast. He profiled celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis or Paula Abdul. Prior to The Early Show he was the CBS owned station reporter for New York City, WCBS. Prior to joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). In addition, she worked for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first broadcasting job was as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalism idols. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker for Anatomy of a Riot (the Premiertime Special of Columbia du-Pont that examined the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
